WOMEN AT LIBERTY BLOG | Can You Spot A Liar and A Single Mom's Journey to Motherhood

Hello Everyone,

Happy Thursday to you!  I believe everyone gets annoyed with liars.  But, do you have the skills to spot one, a real good one?  In this week’s Leadership Tuesday's video, “Liespotting”, from author, Pamela Meyer, she gives clues on how to tell when someone is lying.  The objective is "...moving from liespotting to truth seeking to trust building."

Also, in April Kelly Green shared a series of stories about the “Single, Successful, Mature Women’s Dilemma”.  Several courageous women who are struggling to realize their dreams of having a family and children told us their stories. In the most recent blog, a single mom, who read Kelly’s story, tells her story of going on the motherhood journey alone.  Read, enjoy and feel free to give your feedback.

Go to WOMEN AT LIBERTY to read the blogs.  Have a great day!!

Happy Mother's Day 2011

Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.

Leadership Tuesday's goal is to provide a platform for a variety of voices and resources to develop, encourage, and strengthen women leaders.

Check out this week’s video from the Wall Street Journal featuring Pepsi CEO, Indra Nooyi, talking about “Balancing Work and Family”.  She shares great practical and candid advice on how she endeavored to maintain a balance.

In celebration of National Women’s Health Week, May 8 – 14, 2011

I’M A SURVIVOR by Paula Upshaw
At the age of 34, Paula had a massive heart attack that was misdiagnosed by Emergency Room doctors. She is a survivor and she wants to share her story so that no one else has to go through what she went through.

My Prayer for the National Day of Prayer

Re-posting a prayer that really blessed and inspired me...
________________________________________________________

Lord, there are places where we are not able to go, so we send your Spirit. There are hearts that we can not touch, so we pray for the power and comfort of the Holy Spirit to minister to them. We also pray for those that will have the opportunity to minister and pray for those who are in need and broken-hearted. Give them wisdom. Help them to minister in a spirit of love, truth and restoration. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
